Tony eventually heads out for a drink with Emma. She breaks everything down, knowing that Tony is still in love with Lisa and things between them may not work out the way she wants. Tony admits he wants her to be happy, which only makes things easier for Emma to admit she bumped into an old flame earlier in the episode, Jack.
Things go too far, of course, and naturally take a turn for the worse as both Jen and Roy succumb to their addiction, with dangerous consequences when Jen meets up with some old friends and spreads a carpet of lies about her job and social standing; meantime Roy is hounded by an old flame who wears a little too much make-up.
Victor reached out to his old flame, Rahim. However, Rahim told Victor to stop obsessing over Benji and move on. He looked through his dating profile, which is usually considered a serial killer vibe and not of a single gay guy. Rahim tried to spice up Victor's profile with an alter-ego, Diego, along with a borrowed profile picture.
Mr. Fischoeder convinces Bob to have the Belcher family pose as his own for Thanksgiving dinner at his mansion in order to seduce his old flame, famous sharp shooter and pursuer of married magnates, Shelby Schnabel. Bob is hired to pose as the cook While Linda and the kids pose as Calvin's family. Bob, distraught that his favorite holiday was taken from him, drinks too much absinthe in the kitchen and after a hallucinogenic "My Neighbor Totoro" themed dream, becomes emotionally attached to the turkey, Lance.
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke explains why Seth Rogen popped in for a cameo in a hilariously unsexy Crimson Countess scene. The Boys season 3 has continued the show's habit of getting some notable cameos in fun roles, including Charlize Theron appearing as Stormfront in the Vought Cinematic Universe's Dawn of the Seven trailer. The latest cameo appearance comes at the tail end of season 3, episode 5, "The Last Time to Look on This World of Lies," which finds Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy tracking down his old Payback teammates after being freed from cryo-freeze in Russia. He first finds his old flame, Crimson Countess (Laurie Holden), who he quickly snuffs out for handing him over to the Russians to be tortured and experimented on for decades.

Elliot, frustrated with her personal life and with being overlooked at the hospital, gets a makeover that helps her self esteem and meets back up with an old flame, ("My Own American Girl") which makes J.D. jealous. ("My Journey") Days later, the three residents get their own interns to mentor and approach them with different teaching styles. ("My White Whale") J.D. begins to feel like a fifth wheel to his friends ("My Lucky Night") and is further frustrated when his older brother visits him again. ("My Brother, Where Art Thou?") Turk meets Carla's brother and the two don't get along, while J.D.'s fortunes change when he begins dating Jordan's sister. ("My Advice to You") Meanwhile, Dr. Kelso becomes deaf temporarily and everyone takes advantage of it to insult him. ("My Fifteen Seconds") The three friends each have their own experiences with being called "doctors" rather than "residential students." ("My Friend the Doctor") Elliot continues to struggle with talking about private parts ("My Dirty Secret") and dealing with sexual situations with patients. ("My Rule of Thumb") J.D. and Elliot have a rough couple of days when Danni breaks up with J.D. after their long relationship and Elliot's new look brings her problems with coworkers. ("My Clean Break")
Another juxtaposition is included in this episode of The Boys that isn't carried out as masterfully. It's evident that the people behind the show want people to know that Soldier Boy and Homelander are two sides of the same coin. Of course, that's been rather apparent from the jump, and two scenes where their old flames tell them they hated them and never had any sense of affection for them seem to be a bit over the top. It seems like overkill when the program could have trusted its audience to understand the two super-powered men are quite similar. There was even an offhand comparison to Stormfront, in case viewers somehow didn't understand that Soldier Boy is in fact, nothing like Captain America.
Titled 'Mother? I'm at La Mirage', the summary reads: "Adam receives unexpected attention from Blake; Fallon turns her attention from her former flame to her former business; Kirby makes a new friend despite Culhane's disapproval; Sammy arranges for a very special guest for his grand opening."
As Phlunt and his group left, Lazarus entered the lab accompanied by his mercenaries. Lazarus had heard about the dragon-slaying device, and chided the Commander from hiding its existence from him. As Lazarus approached the machine, Kasmeer unleashed the trap, channelling magic through the mirrors to break his illusion. Although Lazarus was able to scatter the mirrors, the Commander and Dragon's Watch replaced them and fought off the mercenaries. Lazarus's illusion faded to reveal that he was, in fact, Balthazar, the human god of war and fire. Kasmeer was paralyzed at the revelation, even as he crippled Marjory with a blast of flame. As Balthazar's mercenaries poured into the lab, Phlunt and his entourage returned to fight them off (and save the councillor's research). But in the chaos, Balthazar escaped with Taimi's device. Kasmeer confirmed that Balthazar had dropped all lies, but was in deep shock over his appearance, and fled the scene with a portal. Marjory was stabilized by an asuran medic, but still quite injured; she was even more distraught that Kasmeer had frozen up and nearly let her die.
Some say spotting the floating flame is an indication that someone is blessed with the power of foresight, but more often folklore, and literature paints them as impish tricksters, restless spirits or malevolent beings.
While in other places, the floating flames are said to be the wandering souls of unhappy women, unrighteous men, priests who have broken their vow of chastity, or even those souls who escaped purgatory.
He names the phenomenon Canwyll Corff, Welsh for corpse-candle, thereby introducing what will become another common name for the supernatural blue flames, and associating the lights with death, and burial sites.
As a malevolent distraction, "A wandering fire compact of unctuous vapor, which the night condenses, and the cold invirons round, kindled through agitation to a flame, which oft, they say, some evil spirit attends. 59ce067264
